The end to a strange first season for our young Swifts

Whilst 2020/21 season pre-season friendlies are already underway, we still had some outstanding business to deal with regarding the previous campaign.

Due to the COVID-19 situation we'd been unable to host our annual presentation night as planned back in May.

With the older two teams having now carried out their respective presentations over the past two weeks, it just left our youngest team to hand out their awards for the 2019/20 season.

A glorious sunny day awaited us as we set up in the rear garden of the Cricks to present our trophies to the boys.

Before that got underway, we firstly made a presentation to Chris Parry who was the winner of the KWFC Dream Team competition for last season and scooped himself a nice £90 prize for coming out as the top Manager in our Fantasy Football League.

Their was then a very nice and very unexpected presentation from the coaches and boys to our club Chairman and Vice-Chairman (and co-founders of the club) Ste & Damo.

It was then to the main action of the day where we celebrated the efforts of Kilian, Jude, Noah, Elliot, Oscar, Denley, Mason and Bobby as well of those of Myles and William who won't be with us for next season but played their part in our fantastic first season.

As with all age groups we also present 4 special awards. We have our Players Player of the Year, Managers Player of the Year, Supporters Player of the Year and the Special Achievement Award.
The winners were:

Special Achievement Award: Jude Chawner
Supporters Player of the Year: Oscar Stocks
Managers Player of the Year: Bobby Needham
Players Player of the Year: Oscar Stocks

Well done to all of our boys.

The event rounded off a cracking weekend for our young Swifts who started their pre-season campaign with a bang on Friday night with a very solid performance. Special mention to Elliot Parry and Noah Parkin who grabbed their first ever goals in the game.

Up the Swifts.
