And Farewell To Sam!!

After the KWFC presentation night suffered the same fate as many events this summer with having to be cancelled due to Coronavirus, we've been waiting to reward all of our boys for their efforts in the 2019/20 season.

Last season's U8s will be carrying out their presentation this Sunday and our U7s from last season will be handing out their awards next Saturday.

On Tuesday 28th July it was the perfect opportunity for oldest team to hand out their awards for the U10 season. Not only was it a chance to celebrate the season but it was also opportunity for the boys to say goodbye to one of our Swifts Stars.

Sam Hennessy has been with us right since day one of starting training as a group of U6s just over 5 years ago.
In that time he's been our goalkeeper, defender, left winger and even striker scoring 15 goals in the yellow and blue!
Sam and his family are about to start a huge new adventure as they emigrate to Sweden. Whilst we will of course miss Sam and his family, we are also very excited for them as they start their new journey and we've no doubt Sam will soon be putting his skills to good effect in Scandinavia.
Sam was presented with his KWFC shirt, framed and signed by all of his team mates so he'll have something to remember us by in his new home.

Good luck Sam!!

As well as the presentation to Sam, our boys all collected their participation trophies for the 2019/20 season where they once again competed in the top section of the Kickstart League.

As at the end of every season, we also have four very special awards. The voting was very tight in each category demonstrating what an excellent all round squad of players we have in the, now U11s, team.

Congratulations to all of our boys and extra congratulations go to our Special Award Winners.

Special Achievement Award: Jayden Wayman
Supporters Player Of The Year: Cristiano Poutziouri
Managers Player Of The Year: Charlie Walker

We'll be glad to see all of the boys back in action when the friendly matches resume in August.

Up The Swifts!!!
