Look Out For Us on EMT This Evening!

As many of our club members and supporters will know, KWFC very proudly supported a couple of charities earlier this year with our collections of pre-loved football kits and boots.

Our boot collection gathered 70 pairs of boots which were first of all made available to support children and families locally, before being donated to the P3 Charity and in turn forwarded to the Rugby Portobello Trust in London.
We received a lovely email earlier this week from the Operations Director of the Trust who confirmed that the boots supplied via KWFC have gone to new homes and been very well received from youngsters whose parents may have otherwise been unable to provide them with boots in the current difficult times.

As well as one of our out-grown KWFC full kits, we also supplied a vast array of replica kits and training wear to Kit Aid. Those pre-loved kits are now making their way onto the African continent to provide youngsters with kit to play in that they may otherwise have never had the opportunity to acquire.

The efforts of of the family and friends of KWFC came to the attention of the BBC East Midlands Tonight team and yesterday, our very own Vice-Chairman and organiser of the charity collection, Damon Giles, was interviewed about the great work of our club.

It's only a brief interview but we are extremely proud to get such recognition for the work of all of our players, family and supporters.
All being well the piece is scheduled to air on BBC East Midlands news tonight from 6.30pm!

We'll be making a similar collection again in the New Year and anyone wishing to donate kit or boots to us will be able to do so. Stay tuned to our website and follow us on Facebook for further news in the near future.

Well done everyone and thank you for your support.

Up The Swifts!!!
