Excellence on and off the pitch!

It is with great pleasure that we can announce Kirkby Woodhouse FC are now an FA Charter Standard football club.

The FA Charter Standard accreditation is for Clubs which are proud to be the places people want to play and enjoy grassroots football. The programme aims to raise standards in grassroots football, support the development of Clubs and Leagues as well as to recognise and reward commitment and achievement.

Thanks to the hard work of our committee, we are delighted to have been able to gain the accreditation and had the good news confirmed earlier this afternoon from Nottinghamshire FA.

Speaking of the news, Club Chairman Steve Giles said, "This is tremendous news for our club. The FA Charter Standard recognises excellence amongst football clubs across the country. The status recognises the hard work and commitment of our committee and the standard they set for our children, parents and supporters. This is a huge step forward for the club and we are delighted with the news."

A significant part of attaining the accreditation relates to that hard and unseen work that goes on behind the scenes with our Coaches attending training courses, Welfare Officer taking on Safeguarding and First Aid courses and our committee members implementing and managing the codes of conduct by which we operate the club.

We'd like to thank our committee, players and supporters for their on-gong efforts in making Kirkby Woodhouse FC the great club that it is!

Up The Swifts!!!
